Operating VIOSO Products to embed warping into the GPU of NVIDIA Quadro based systems should be straight forward. But the number of different aspects that are touched until a system is configured properly can be confusing at beginning.
So here is a step by step guide through this process. Keep this guide at hand and finish each item one at a time. Once you have been through it, things fall in place and everything makes sense. Promised!
- Set up and optimize your projectors as good as possible. Best blending technology can not improve an improper projector performance.
- Measure your screen and know the screen’s aspect ratio. Everything is going to be fitted on this very screen. Adding some markers to the screen to know it’s basic division, center, etc. helps a lot in the mapping procedure.
Click here to learn more. - Make a testpattern that fits the aspect ratio of the screen. In multiple projector setups, typical testpatterns (16:9, 16:10) do NOT matter! You need a testpattern that fits to the aspect ratio of the screen or surface you are projecting onto. Use our free Online tool: www.testpatterngenerator.com.
- Check your system and recommended drivers. Do not use the latest NVIDIA drivers – new drivers used to have frequently bugs in the warp&blend functionality. See our frequently updated list of recommended NVIDIA drivers.
- Set up EDIDs minding and NVIDIA Mosaic. Read here how to accomplish this task with mimimal error rate. Don’t skip any reboot.
- Make sure you have a supported camera and know how to cable and operate it. Test everything prior to a calibration. Read here about the main checks to do before calibrating.
- Launch Anyblend Control Panel and start a new calibration.
- Start reading here about the procedure of configuring the calibration system and running scans for all projectors.
- Once you have done all scans, use the custom made testpattern (see 3.) to make the initial content mapping.
- After finishing export your desired format
- Be patient when applying warp&blend. The GPU flashes a lot, signal gets lost, no feedback in software – that’s a normal behaviour from GPU and operating system.
- After warp, blend and desktop resolution adaption is applied, there is a 15-second countdown window. Make sure to press “OK” when everything is all right within 15 seconds! Otherwise everything is reverted again.
That’s it! Congratulations.
Still this list reads a bit intimidating, but in the end we talk about a pretty complex and highly system-invasive procedure.
