This article is about the various masks that can be generated or used in VIOSO 6.
ROI – Masks
This mask is used in almost every measurement and masks the camera image to limit the screen to be measured. The region of interest.
This is helpful to prevent incorrect measurement results before the measurement.
The test pattern is nevertheless output on the entire output.
Projector masks
These masks cut the output of the test pattern for calibration.
This is helpful if the test pattern falsifies the calibration due to reflective surfaces or if areas are to be left out because a calibration is not possible.
These masks are then automatically saved and applied as an output mask.
(See output mask)
Cropping Masks
These masks are used to cut off areas of the calculation. As a result, output areas are clipped and excluded from the calculation for blends.
A typical application is to linearize overlapping areas or to exclude areas that are covered due to structural reasons.
These masks are usually only used after the calibration to calculate the blend areas.
Content masks
After measurement, these masks can be used in the edit area to trim the output of content.
Since a measurement can sometimes become a bit unclean at the edge, clean edges can be created in this way, or areas that are not to be projected on can be covered
If projector masks were created during the calibration, they are automatically stored here.
