Network setup of the server and the camera(s)
Once the operating system has been prepared, the network must be set up.
We recommend using simple addresses such as 10.0.0.1.
They can be communicated and entered quickly.
Since the software searches the network for other clients, it is advisable to close the subnet mask as much as possible. We recommend 255.255.255.0
For the camera network, we usually use a separate network adapter with its own address range.
It is mandatory that the camera networks run atgigabit speed (1000 Mbps) otherwise you get no stable connection.
HOW tO CHECK:
Under the Start Menu, search for View Network Connections, and as the result appears, press Enter or click on it. This will open the Network Connections window. Double clicking on it adapter open up the Status window of that adapter, which shows the duration of the connection, the current connection speed. For a wired connection the speed will likely be either 1Gbps or a 100Mbps; If it is not 1Gbps the camera will not work. In this case consult your IT. In case of further trouble with camera network also check IDS or Hik software for errors.
All servers that are to participate in the calibration must be in the same network area and reach each other.
The firewall needs be turned off, be sure that no Antivirus software is disturbing the connection
